The 5 Solas: We believe in and affirm the 5 solas of the Protestant Reformation, and embrace these Biblical truths within our Heritage as Baptists. These 5 are: sola scriptura (Scripture alone), solus Christus (Christ alone), sola fide (faith alone), sola gratia (grace alone), and soli Deo gloria (glory to God alone).
The Following is a simple summary of what we believe on main doctrines:
The Word of God: We believe in the Holy Bible, and we believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. Given of divine inspiration, we believe that the Scriptures are sufficient, sacred, preserved, and authoritative. All of our beliefs flow from the teachings of the Bible, and we believe in the Received Text tradition, from the rich heritage of the Protestant Reformation. We believe the King James Version of the Bible is a faithful and accurate translation of the Hebrew Old Testament, and Greek New Testament, and use the Authorized Version in our ministry. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 4:4, Psalm 12:6-7)
God: We believe in one God, who exists eternally in a triune nature as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and these three are one. We believe that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three distinct persons, and are co-equal, co-eternal, and consubstantial in nature. We believe that Jesus Christ was God manifest in the flesh, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. (1 John 5:7, Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 Timothy 3:16)
Salvation: We believe that all are sinners who need to be saved and born again by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. By the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and his substitionary atonement, sinners, drawn by God, are able to come to the Lord Jesus Christ and receive the free gift of eternal life.(Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Romans 10:13)
Eternal Security: We believe in the Eternal Security of the Believer, and the Biblical reality that once somebody truly repents towards God, and trusts in Christ alone for their salvation, they are then sealed by the Holy Spirit and kept saved by the power of God. (Ephesians 1:13-14, John 10:27-30, 1 Peter 1:5)
Baptism: We believe that Baptism is by immersion, after salvation, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
Heaven & Hell: We believe that the saved will spend an eternity in heaven with the Lord, and the unsaved will die in their sins and spend an eternity in torment in hell. (1 Peter 1:4, Matthew 25:41)
The Local Church: We believe that the local church is a visible body of born again, baptized believers assembled together scripturally under Elders, who are the undershepherds of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the body, and each local, biblical church. The Word of God is the final authority of the church, but is also viewed historically through confessions of faith for accountability, unity, and doctrinal clarity. We believe in the autonomy of the local church. (Colossians 1:18, Hebrews 10:25-26)
Personal Seperation: We believe Christians should live holy, seperated lives to the glory of God. (1 Peter 1:16)
One True Faith: We believe there is one True way to God, and all other ways, philosophies, and ideologies contrary to God's Word and Biblical Doctrine are false and deceptive. (John 14:6, Psalm 119:104)
New Testament: We believe there is one covenant people of God, which is all who are in the faith of Christ. God's divine election is wholly by grace to the praise of His Glory. Christ is Lord and Savior of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues. (Revelation 7:9, Romans 10:12, Galatians 3:26, Ephesians 2:15)
End Times: We believe in the glorious, personal, and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He is coming again to judge the living and the dead. We believe the gospel will continue to go into the nations, grow the Kingdom of God, and in the end, Jesus Christ will deliver the Kingdom to The Father. (1 Corinthians 15:24-26, Psalm 110:1)
